Welcome to the District 87 Annual Conference!
By registering for and attending this conference, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Registration and Payment
1.1 All delegates must complete the registration process and pay the applicable fees in full prior to attending the conference.
1.2 Conference registration fees are non-refundable, except in the case of event cancellation by the organizers.
1.3 Substitutions are permitted if the registered delegate is unable to attend. Notification of substitutions must be provided in writing at least 48 hours prior to the event.
2. Attendance and Participation
2.1 Delegates are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times during the conference.
2.2 The organizers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any delegate whose behavior is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
2.3 Delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and expenses.
3. Health and Safety
3.1 Delegates must comply with all health and safety regulations and guidelines issued by the organizers, the venue, and local authorities.
3.2 The organizers will take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of all delegates but will not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by any delegate during the conference.
4. Privacy and Data Protection
4.1 The organizers will collect and use personal data provided by delegates for the purpose of conference administration and communication.
4.2 Delegates consent to the use of their personal data in accordance with the organizers' privacy policy.
4.3 Photography and video recording may take place during the conference. By attending, delegates consent to being photographed and recorded and to the use of such media for promotional purposes.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 All materials presented at the conference, including but not limited to presentations, handouts, and digital content, are the intellectual property of the respective speakers and organizers.
5.2 Delegates may not reproduce, distribute, or use any conference materials without prior written permission from the intellectual property owner.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 The organizers will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from the attendance at or participation in the conference.
6.2 The organizers' total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the conference shall be limited to the amount of the registration fee paid by the delegate.
7. Force Majeure
7.1 The organizers shall not be liable for any failure to perform their obligations under these terms and conditions due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and pandemics.
8. Amendments
8.1 The organizers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to delegates in writing.
9. Governing Law
9.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the conference is held.
10. Acceptance of Terms
10.1 By registering for and attending the Toastmasters Conference, delegates acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
